Wareham Golf Club was founded in 1908, originally with only 9 holes, and after many changes it became a full 18 hole course in 1989.
To play well at Wareham you have to have good course management and keep the ball in play. It is par 69 but don`t be fooled, you need to accurate and the course rewards strategy over length.
In the past few years the club has made great strides forward at a time when other clubs have struggled, bringing in a new Director of Golf, Professional team and pro shop. There have been some major works on the clubhouse to improve facilities and we now have the best golf course catering team in Dorset. All of this has attracted many new golf and also social members to Wareham, making us the club to join in Dorset.
